Olympic Multilingual Information Service System Rank the First of the Top 10 Information Application Achievements in Beijing in Year 2008

On February 26, the “Olympic Multilingual Information Service System” provided by our Company ranked the first of the Top 10 Information Application Achievements in Beijing 2008 after collection, preliminary selection, announcement and final assessment, as well as public votes.
The selection of “Top 10 Information Application Achievements in Beijing 2008” is sponsored by Beijing Information Industry Association, and supported by the office of Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, district information centers and appraised units under the guidance of the Publicity Department of Beijing Party Committee of the CPC, Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, Beijing Municipal Information Office and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Industry Promotion.
The System becomes the first in history in terms of providing multilingual information service in the world.
On the basis of information resource pool, the Olympic Multilingual Information Service System has the features of input, examination, translation, post and inquiry of information about the 2008 Olympic Games and Beijing city. Also, it provides compatible multilingual support for spectator information channels. The public information channels include spectator call rooms in Olympic Games, information kiosks in Olympic venues, urban information kiosks, the spectator channel on the official website of the Olympic Games, Olympic WAP website, etc.
During the 2008 Olympic Games, the Olympic Multilingual Information Service System provided nearly 5,000,000 audiences with detailed information of the Olympic Games and Beijing city in Chinese, English, French, Russian, German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic and Italian, making them enjoy both considerate multilingual information service and fabulous sports competition.
